Georgia Day
September 22, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Museum of Arts and Sciences (MAS), in partnership with Georgia Grown, is excited to announce “Georgia Day” on Saturday, September 22 from 10 am to 4 pm. The Museum will have 11 Georgia Grown vendors in the lobby selling their goods, giving demonstrations and answering any questions you may have about their businesses.
Georgia Grown is an economic development program of the Georgia Department of Agriculture that aims to aid agricultural economies by bringing together producers, processors, suppliers, distributors, retailers, agritourism, and consumers into a larger community. Their goal is to help agribusinesses grow and thrive in their local communities.
All of the business featured at the MAS’s Georgia Day are statewide businesses that meet Georgia Grown standards of quality, produce all of their goods from resources in the state, and sell them locally. Come out and support your Georgia business owners and farmers by meeting them and purchasing their goods. Your holiday shopping list will be checked off and you will have some amazing gifts for your friends, family, and yourself.
In addition, we will have Scoots and Scales offering a “Reptiles of Georgia” show at 1 and 3 pm, story time with Happy and her chicken at 2 and 4 pm, planetarium shows, games, crafts, face painting, balloon animals, and more. It will be a day filled with fun activities and wonderful people, all for the cost of the Museum’s regular admission.
