Practical Filmmaking for Fulldome with Ben Gondrez (FREE)

In this workshop, we will discuss the practical aspects and considerations to keep in mind when designing and filming for the dome and other immersive formats. Topics covered will include major differences from traditional cinema, camera selection, shot composition, editing software and techniques, and other key information.

Ben Gondrez is a creative technologist who is always looking for unique and innovative ways to utilize technology to enhance educational, artistic, and professional purposes. Ben is currently the Digital Dome Manager at Fort Collins Museum of Discovery. At the museum, he facilitates bi-monthly DomeLab meetings where local artists can learn full-dome production techniques and experiment in the dome, as well as a number of other unique programs to bring immersive art experiences to the public. He is also a board member for Create Places, a non-profit organization doing creative placemaking in Northern Colorado.
