Dsto Moore is a documentary photographer raised in the Historic Pleasant Hill neighborhood of Macon, Georgia. Since launching his photography journey in 2014, Moore has become known for his powerful visual storytelling that highlights community, culture, and emotion through a lens of authenticity.
His work includes impactful projects such as Take A Walk, The Macon Music Project, and numerous public galleries that celebrate the spirit of Macon and its people. Moore’s photography is deeply rooted in capturing the voices of the unheard and turning everyday moments into timeless stories.
One of his most heartfelt series, Black Man Smile, is a collaboration with his 11-year-old daughter Demei Moore, an emerging visual artist. Together, they explore the beauty and strength behind the often-overlooked joy of Black men. The series creates a safe, affirming space where Black men are empowered to show vulnerability and smile unapologetically challenging stereotypes and celebrating identity.
Through his lens, Dsto Moore continues to honor the legacy of his community, while using photography as a tool for connection, healing, and empowerment.
