Home School Field Trip Day: Taking Flight
August 27 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

This event is intended for homeschool families (large homeschool groups of 15 or more should book their own field trip through our website). Pre-registration is required which is obtained by purchasing your ticket. Students must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Each student ticket includes ONE free adult ticket. Please pay attention to the grade level recommendations for each program in order to have the best experience. The first program will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Please arrive at 9:45 AM to check-in.
“Winged Wonders”
During this Live Animal Experience you will meet the birds that live in your
backyard and learn about their unique characteristics.
Recommended for grades K-12th with program options for K-3rd and 4th-12th.
“Fold n’ Fly”
During this STEAM activity you will discover what makes planes fly and create
your own through the engineering design process.
Recommended for grades K-12th with program options for K-3rd and 4th-12th.
“I See the Moon”
During this planetarium show you will take a trip to the Moon and learn how it has inspired
wonder in human history, eventually leading to the first astronauts landing on its surface.
Recommended for grades K-3rd.
“Space Voyage”
During this planetarium show you will explore the outer planets of our solar system
and beyond through data collected by spacecraft that were launched in the late 1970s.
Recommended for grades 4th-12th.
