Moon Day

July 20, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Celebrate humankind’s first landing on the moon and exploration of space. Listen to a virtual presentation in the auditorium from Elizabeth Tammi (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center) from 12:15-12:45pm, create crafts, and watch planetarium shows about going to the moon!

Moon Day is included with Museum admission.

Meet the Scholar: Elizabeth Tammi

Elizabeth Tammi graduated from Mercer University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and creative writing. Originally from Florida, she now lives and works near Washington D.C. as the outreach and social media lead for NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope mission. She creates posts and campaigns for Hubble’s social media following of over 13 million followers; she also works in multimedia production, outreach events, newsroom help, and other communications activities.
