Nature Explorers (Nature Art)
June 19, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Have you ever been on a bird walk? Or done pond dipping to learn about invertebrates who live in the water? Nature Explorers is an exciting new partnership with the Georgia Extension Service that will allow families to experience new things to learn about the outdoors!
Beginning in June, every third Saturday afternoon (except for December) at the Museum of Arts and Sciences your family can explore ways to study, appreciate, and preserve our natural environment. Stay tuned on our Facebook page or our website for specific times and descriptions. Some activities may be repeated during the afternoon; others may be one-time presentations. Some will include separate adult and children’s activities; some will be for the whole family together! As each activity varies, some may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
Each participating child will receive a passport to have stamped for each Nature Explorers event they attend. If your child has collected at least 10 stamps from June 2021-June 2022, they will earn a special reward.
All programs are free to members or free with Museum admission.
June’s activity is Nature Art and will be held in the lobby of the Museum from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
