During this field trip families will learn all about the science (and art) of classification! Meet some of our animals, take a walk on our nature trail, and get creative during our interactive STEAM activity. Come join us as we explore and learn more at MAS! Create your own experience from our program choices below. Spots are first come, first serve. Check-in begins at 9:45 in the Museum lobby. Once checked-in you will receive a bracelet indicating your admission to all programs for the day.
“Animal Assortment” – During this Live Animal Experience you will explore animal classification while meeting different types of animals. Recommended for grades K-12th with program options for K-3rd and 4th-12th.
“Alike and Different” – During this STEAM activity you will investigate the art of classification and take home your own unique creation. Recommended for grades K-12th with program options for K-3rd and 4th-12th.
“Plant Placement” – During this Nature Trail Tour you will learn how scientists group and classify plants while observing and characterizing native and non-native species. Recommended for grades K-12th with program options for K-3rd and 4th-12th.
