Donating appreciated stock and securities can increase the value of your gift to the museum while also trimming your tax bill. As a federally registered nonprofit, the museum is able to liquidate appreciated stock without being subject to capital gains tax. Learn About the Legacy SocietyOur Permanent and Education Collections include more than 6,000 works of art, minerals, historic objects, and natural history specimens. Your donation can help to expand our collection, create exhibitions, and enhance our educational programs. The accessions of artwork are at the discretion of the Art Curator and Fine Arts Committee. You may also make a financial contribution to the art acquisition fund.
