
Art of Science: The Sounds of Appalachia

The Museum of Arts and Sciences is kicking off a BRAND NEW Lecture Performance Series this summer titled “The Art of Science”!
Come learn about the Sciences through Art! You might find they rely on each other more than you thought! This series is for all ages, but is specifically for our life-long learners who want to learn something new this summer!
Learn about the musical traditions of the Appalachia with Raptor Manager, Pete Griffin, and STEAM Curator, Xandrya Edwards. Hear the sounds of Appalachian musical instruments, learn to read shape notes, and sing with us as we learn the science and history behind this long-held folk music tradition You will not want to miss this program on August 19th at 7 p.m.!
