Tiliqua scincoides
They are a relatively docile species, but still need a defense mechanism to protect themselves. As their name implies, they will open their mouth and stick out a blue tongue, all while hissing and puffing up the body. They appear larger than normal, and the blue tongue warns that they are not appetizing.
