Curly Hair Tarantula

Tlilocatl albopilosus

These spiders are nocturnal hunters that wait for prey to pass by their burrows. The hairs on their legs pick up vibrations from anything that approaches, and once in range the spider darts from its burrow and grabs the prey. Once in its grasp, the spider will inject venom and begin to eat its meal.
