Join us for our first Homeschool Field Trip Day of the school year! During this field trip families will learn all about the science of sound! From the ways animals use sound to communicate behaviors to the inner workings of our voice, come out to the Museum to hear all about it! Tickets run out fast, so be sure to grab them early! One free adult ticket included per family. Read below to see our programming for the day!
Programming:
STEAM Activity: Good Vibrations (K-12th)
During this STEAM activity you will discover how sound is produced and travels by connecting the physics of sound to the art of music.
Live Animal Experience: Sound Survival (K-12th)
During this Live Animal Experience you will investigate how animals manipulate volume and pitch to communicate different behaviors.
Planetarium Show: Beyond the Sound (K-12th)
During this Planetarium Show you will explore the concept behind the Doppler Effect, and learn how different sounds affect wavelength patterns.
