During this field trip families will learn all about fossils by taking a trip back in time to the dinosaurs, creating a mold and cast, and exploring how fossils provide clues to the past! Come and celebrate National Fossil Month with us! Tickets run out fast, so be sure to grab them early! One free adult ticket included per family. Read below to see our programming for the day!
Programming:
STEAM: Molds & Casts (K-12th)
During this STEAM activity you will explore what paleontologists and artists have in common and create your own fossil mold and cast to take home.
SOS: Digging Up the Past (K-12th)
During this Science on a Sphere Program you will investigate what makes a fossil “a fossil,” and how fossils provide clues about the past.
PLT: Dinosaur Prophecy (K-12th)
During this Planetarium Show you will take a trip back in time to the age of dinosaurs and learn about how they lived, went extinct, and what dinosaur fossils teach us today!
