Field Trip will run for 1.5 hours and include the following programs (in no particular order):
- Discuss different types of animal tracks.
- Examine different types of leaves and learn about leaf identification.
- Our Discovery House consists of three fully interactive floors, including the Mini-Zoo, that you will be guided to and given tips on the best ways to explore.
- Create and design on our top floor in the Artist’s Garret.
- Observe several animals and hear from one of our zoo keepers in our Mini-Zoo on the main floor.
- Explore weather, dig for fossils, and more on our bottom floor in the Scientist’s Workshop.
- Your field trip will end at 11:30 and you are welcome to stay after and have lunch on the property. Please let us know if you plan to do this.
- Our newly renovated outdoor picnic area provides covered and uncovered lunch spots for our field trip groups. During this time you may visit our Museum Store.
- Lunch should remain on the bus until lunch time as there is no storage at the Museum.
- You may order/cater lunch for your group. Please let the Front Desk know ahead of time. The Museum is not responsible for your food order.
- If you choose to visit the Museum Store, please send in 10 students at a time with a chaperone THROUGHOUT your lunch time. Waiting until the very end of your lunch time will slow the check-out process and may cause you to miss your final program/bus departure.
